Today, we reflect on the life of Elijah, one of the greatest prophets in the Bible. Elijah reminds us that even in the most difficult circumstances, God is faithful, powerful, and always present.
Elijah stood firm in his faith, even when he felt alone. He trusted God’s provision during times of drought, witnessed God’s power on Mount Carmel, and learned that God’s voice is often found not in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in a gentle whisper.
“The Lord said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.’… After the fire came a gentle whisper.”

Trust God even when the path seems uncertain.
Remain faithful, even when you feel alone.
Listen for God’s gentle voice amid life’s noise.
Remember that God strengthens those who put their hope in Him.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Elijah and his unwavering faith. Help us to trust You in every season, to stand firm in our beliefs, and to listen for Your voice each day. Strengthen our hearts and guide our steps as we walk according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
