A Pagan King Helped Rebuild God’s Temple.
The Book of Ezra reminds us that God can use unexpected people and circumstances to accomplish His purposes. When the Israelites returned from exile, God stirred the heart of the Persian king to allow His people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple.
Ezra is a powerful story of restoration, obedience and renewed worship.
God kept His promise.
He moved the heart of a king.
He brought His people back.
He restored what had been broken.
He renewed their relationship with Him.
The message is still relevant today:
What looks broken is not beyond God’s ability to restore.
When we walk in obedience, trust His promises and allow Him to lead, God can rebuild what we thought was lost.
REAL PEOPLE.
REAL HISTORY.
A REAL GOD.
“Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia…”
Ezra 1:1 KJV
