In 2 Kings 13:21, we read about a man who was brought back to life simply by touching the bones of the prophet Elisha.
But 2 Kings is about so much more than one incredible miracle.
It tells the story of kings, kingdoms, choices, consequences, warnings, God’s mercy and His faithfulness — even during some of Israel’s darkest times.
From Elijah being taken to Heaven in a whirlwind, to Israel and Judah turning away from God, and eventually Jerusalem falling and the temple being destroyed, the book of 2 Kings reminds us that our choices matter.
God warns.
God corrects.
God shows mercy.
And God remains faithful.
WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM 2 KINGS?
Never forget God.
Don’t ignore His warnings.
Our choices have consequences.
And even in difficult times, God’s faithfulness remains.
“Then a dead man came back to life simply by touching the bones of the prophet.”
