Happy Monday everyone

Happy Monday everyone

How was your weekend?

Our seasons have officially shifted and I spent the weekend sorting through the kids’ clothes. Checking what still fits, what can be passed on, what will be donated and what they’ll need for winter.

Seriously… when did they grow THIS much?!

My youngest son didn’t even bother growing to the next size. He decided to skip an entire size altogether

I try to sort through the kids’ clothes every winter and summer for two reasons:

1. To declutter and donate what no longer fits

2. To make an exact list of what they actually need

That second one helps me so much, especially when the budget is tight. It helps separate what’s truly necessary from what’s simply extra.

I’ve noticed some moms have very strong opinions about passing clothes down from older siblings, but honestly I don’t mind it at all.

My oldest son has two pairs of jeans he barely wore, so they’ve now officially been passed down to his younger brother. I also passed a few hoodies and sweatpants from my youngest son to his sister, she’s a huge Spiderman fan

They make perfect comfy play clothes for home… although I already know she’s probably going to insist on wearing that Spiderman hoodie to the shops too

There’s always something bittersweet about packing away clothes they’ve outgrown. It’s exciting watching them grow, but somehow emotional at the same time.

Please tell me I’m not the only one suddenly making a very long winter shopping list

What works best for your family?

Do you pass clothes down between siblings?

And what are your best kids’ clothing or shopping tips?
