Today, we reflect on the life of Martha, a woman remembered for her servant’s heart and her willingness to welcome others. Martha teaches us that serving God and caring for people are beautiful acts of love. While she was busy preparing and serving, Yeshua gently reminded her that spending time in His presence is just as important as serving Him.
Martha faithfully opened her home to Yeshua and His disciples, showing kindness, generosity, and hospitality. Although she became overwhelmed by many responsibilities, Yeshua lovingly encouraged her to focus first on what matters most—being with Him. Her story reminds us that our service should always flow from a heart that is rooted in His presence.
Martha, Martha, the Lord answered, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

Serve others with love and humility.
Welcome people with kindness and compassion.
Don’t become so busy serving that you neglect time with God.
Let your service flow from a heart that is filled by His presence.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Martha and her heart to serve others. Teach us to serve with joy, humility, and love, while never losing sight of what matters most—our relationship with You. Help us to balance our responsibilities with quiet moments in Your presence. May everything we do bring glory to Your name and reflect Your love to those around us. In Yeshua’s name, Amen.
