Justin Rishworth, a South African professional chess player and coach, has officially qualified to compete in the 2026 FIDE World Amateur Chess Championship in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, from 4–13 November 2026, in the Under-1700 section.
Justin’s journey includes winning the African Amateur Individual Chess Championship (Under-1700) in Burundi, earning him Candidate Master elect status.
He now needs support to help cover the costs of making this incredible opportunity possible, with a funding goal of R25,000.
